In a wonderful location nestled at the end of 24th Ave., this quiet cottage will instantly be your home away from home. Have an electric car? Charge while you vacation with the conveniently provided EV - Electric Car Charger port!
Enjoy the cool morning shade from the new back deck. Sip your coffee slowly, it will take some time to take in the views of the bay and the birds, with the marsh and sound waters beyond.
When the surf calls, its just a short walk up 24th Ave and over to the next side street is the public beach access.
After spending time on the beach, relax on the front deck, with afternoon shade and more great long range views of nature and sounds waters.
Sunset Bay has a traditional feel with modern upgrades including a renovated kitchen with granite countertops, an open main room for enjoying time together and 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds for your relaxation at the end of a full beach day.
Enjoy cookouts with the gas grill, another way to take in the surrounding views of the sound and marshlands.
After dinner, walk out the path to the edge of water to watch the birds dive for fish, or throw a line in yourself. And of course, take a moment to enjoy the pretty sunset.
3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath.
Maximum Occupancy 6.
Bed Sizes: Queen, Queen, XL Full (requires Queen sheets) and Twin.
The Bedding and Bath Linen Package for advertised bedrooms and baths are provided with professionally, freshly laundered linens for your safety and beds pre-made prior to arrival for your convenience! The package provided includes:
• Bed linen set for each advertised bedroom (top bunks, sleeper sofas, and futons are typically not pre-made)
• Bath towel and washcloth set for maximum occupancy
• Bathroom set including hand towel and bathmat for each interior bathroom
Living areas on 1 level.
Central heat & air, dishwasher.
Brand New Washer & Dryer for 2019 located in ground level utility room!
2 cable TVs, DVD player.
Wireless high speed internet access.
Deck area with furniture overlooking sound, marshlands, and maritime forest.
Sound-front kayak launch area - great area for kayaking and fishing. No boat dock.
Enclosed outside shower with hot water.
Carport area with parking for 2 vehicles.
EV - Electric Car Charger port!
Carport can be used for ground level patio area as well!
Open yard area with sound and marsh views!
Grilling allowed. Gas grill (gas provided). Under no circumstances is grilling permitted on wooden decks and boardwalks or underneath buildings or homes. Grilling Policies are strictly enforced. Violation may result in eviction without refund. Guest will be held financially and legally accountable for problems or damages caused by violations.
No smoking allowed on premises at any time - strictly enforced. Under no circumstances is smoking permitted inside. Smoking is only permitted outside on the premises if the home's policy allows. No Smoking Policies are strictly enforced. Violations will result in charges to guest for additional cleaning and could result in eviction of guests without refund and/or negation of rental in future.
No tenant pets allowed. Under no circumstances are tenants permitted to have pets in this home or on these premises at any time. Unauthorized pets shall result in eviction and/or at Carolina Retreats' sole discretion double pet rent plus tax per reserved night payable on demand for each pet. Guest will be held financially and legally accountable for problems or damages caused by violations.
Partial Week Getaways and Advance Bookings with Alternate Arrival/Departure Day:
• During November through March excluding the holiday weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and Easter: Partial Week Getaways and Advance Bookings with Alternate Arrival/Departure Days with a 3 night minimum stay are permitted in advance with any arrival and departure day.
• During April through October and holiday weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and Easter: Partial Week Getaways with a 3 night minimum stay are only permitted within 10 days of arrival and must be booked within a Saturday-Saturday time frame.
Public beach access is located at the end of 23rd Ave.

A cottage home called Sunset Bay, Found on the web, a place to stay.
Reviews seemed great, so we took a chance, And all week long, have done a high-five dance.
Early morning coffee, warm breeze at the sound, Watched birds fish for breakfast, others fly around.
A cute little bunny hopped here and there, Only in the tall grass to disappear.
Topsail Steamer Bucket ~ took to heat & eat,Sat at your delightful table to feast on the seats.
Daily walks on the beach, swims in the waves, The most perfect place to spend our days.
Early evening front deck cold beers, Soon moved to back deck to view sunsets beyond compare.
We were tired and weary when we arrived from our trip,But cares and stresses washed away with each outside shower dip.
We love the warm cozy cottage feel, The artwork and adequate kitchen for our meals.
The inside bath was surely nice, But our favorite shower - outside is our advice!
One week here ~ sigh...we're grateful indeed, Thinking two weeks (don't want it to end) is what we need.
If we can come back, we will for sure.
Next time, with fishing poles and lure.
June 6 – June 13,2020 Danielle & John: This was the perfect little get away. We had a last minute idea to take some time off and are so happy we got a chance to stay here. Great house and great views!

Sunset Bay is a very relaxing house with everything you need to have a great time for a summer vacation! It is a very short walk to the beach and everything is provided for you ( chairs, coolers, umbrellas, and even toys for the kids!). It has been newly renovated and it looks great! My friends and I had an awesome time and definately want to come back!

Sunset Bay is a very relaxing house with everything you need to have a great time for a summer vacation! It is a very short walk to the beach and everything is provided for you ( chairs, coolers, umbrellas, and even toys for the kids!). It has been newly renovated and it looks great! My friends and I had an awesome time and definately want to come back!

This was our first time to Topsail and it won’t be our last! The beach cottage is perfect! Great views and easy walk to the pristine beach. We are so sad to have to leave 4 days early, but being evacuated due to Hurricane Dorian. Thanks s much to the Brown’s for sharing their awesome beach home with us.
